摘要 The use of a ceramic based composition is disclosed for reducing frictional forces between moving molten glass and working surfaces of a glass forming machine. The ceramic based composition is applied as a dispersion and cured on the working surfaces, such as the blank cavity of a glass container mold. The preferred ceramic based composition is sold under the trademark "XYLAR" <R> and has been found to be particularly effective in reducing frictional engagement over extended periods of time in the operation of glass forming machines.
