<p>An electrical transmission circuit for the transmission of electromagnetic waves is provided. The transmission circuit comprises a dielectric (1) having compressed regions (1A) in the form of the desired circuit, wherein electromagnetic waves are transmitted through the compressed regions (1A). Electrical conductors may be installed parallel to each other and separate from each other along or within the grooves (2). Such conductors may also be used in an alternative arrangement in which the grooves (2) are not formed by compression. In a further embodiment, grooves are formed in the surface of a dielectric in a desired pattern (such as by compression) and a transmission element whose dielectric constant is higher than that of the dielectric is installed inside each of the grooves and is used to transmit electromagnetic waves.</p> |
