PURPOSE:To provide a lead acid battery with excellent withstand voltage by surrounding an electrode plate with a sack-shaped separator in such a way as accommodating therein, and fixing the inside electrode plates separated from the battery jar through the sack to the battery jar. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode plate 1 consists of a sack-shaped separator 3 formed by jointing in a position 2 either mechanically or with adhesives or the like and a negative electrode plate 4 not surrounded by this sack-shaped separator 3 so as to constitute a group of electrode plates. The positive electrode tab 5 and negative electrode tab 6 of each electrode plate are welded to straps 7, 8, wherein one positive electrode has a connecting piece 9 to the next cell while negative electrode is in continuity to a terminal 10. Adhesive agent 11 is applied to the bottom of inside each separator 3 and the bottom of battery jar 12. According to this constitution, the negative electrode plate 4 not surrounded by separator 3 and the bottom of battery jar, a separator 3, and a positive electrode plate 1 wherein the separator are consolidated at the bottom part to lead to remarkable enhancement of the anti-seismic property. |
