<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate necessary cutting and open container without cutting a load by pushing the load away from the wall of the container with pushing means penetrating the wall and cutting the wall to form a cutting portion. CONSTITUTION: Bars come into contact with sidewalls of a case 1 to center the case 1 between these bars. Pushing portions with dull edge of prongs 210 are put penetrating through bores 6 and a space 11 is formed between a sidewall 1b and carton blanks 2. A knife 7 cuts the wall 1b at the level of the lower end of a boring line 5 to form a horizontal slit 12. Another knife forms a parallel slit unitized with the upper end of the boring line 5 on the top wall 1a. Suction cups 228 are descended to capture the top wall 1a, take it up as if pulling upward, lift the top portion sectioned with the slit 12 and the cutting line 5, carry it to a position above a conveyer 218, and let it fall on this conveyer 218.</p> |
