A diagnostic process for the detection of renal disorders in mammals including man, comprising the steps: a) obtaining a test specimen from the mammal subject to diagnosis; b) reacting entactin or an active fragment thereof with said specimen; and c) registering whether interaction occurs between the entactin and said specimen indicating the presence or absence of said disorder; and a diagnostic composition containing entactin or an active fragment thereof in combination with a diagnostically acceptable carrier. <IMAGE> |
