PURPOSE:To provide a planographic printing plate free from ground contamination, by a method wherein a toner image is produced by electrophotography on a printing plate material provided with an organic photo-conductive compound layer comprised of a pyrazoline derivative on an electrically conductive substrate by using a specified binder, and the image is fixed, followed by etching. CONSTITUTION:A toner image is produced by electrophotography on the printing plate material provided with the organic photo-conductive compound layer on the electrically conductive substrate, wherein the layer comprises an organic photo conductive compound, e.g., a pyrazoline derivative of the formula (wherein each of R1, R2, R3 is allyl, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, heterocyclic ring) and is produced by using a copolymer of an acrylic acid ester and/or a methacrylic acid ester with a styrene derivative having an acid value of not lower than 100 as a binder. Then, the toner image is fixed, and non-image parts of the layer are etched away by an aqueous basic etching solution to obtain the objective planographic printing plate. |
