PURPOSE:To perform recording and reproducing with a single device and a simple constitution, by making an arrangement that, when plural recording media of different recording capacities are used interchangeably, a power unit having a supply capacity which meets the using purpose of each recording medium is installed. CONSTITUTION:Recording tape casstte holder units 3 and 4 are mounted on the main body of a single recording and reproducing device by means of the fitting and removing of a unit and the moving of a panel. The units are connected with power lines through a terminal which is coupled with main body 1 or the front panel by means of a connector or pins 27. In the case of the cassette holder unit 4 which holds a large capacity recording tape and is to be use for a long- time picture recording and sound recording, a power unit of a large capacity is installed a part 52 of the holder unit 4. On the other hand, a power unit of a small capacity is installed inside a part 51 of the cassette holder unit 3 which holds a small capacity recording tape and is to be used for a portable camera. |
