The invention relates to an arrangement for handling containers. The arrangement is fitted in connection with a transport platform body 1. The transport platform body comprises a chassis 2, one end 2a of which can be placed on a loading and unloading plane. The transport platform body 1 has a hauling device 3, by means of which a container can be drawn up on to the transport platform body and pushed away from the latter. The arrangement according to the invention comprises two guides 5 and slides 6 arranged thereon. The guides run in the longitudinal direction of the chassis and at the edges thereof. When required, the slides 6 can be displaced along the guide under the rear corners 4a of a container when the container 4 is being hauled up on to the load platform 1 and moved away from the latter. <IMAGE>
