PURPOSE:To prepare a plastic lens of good quality having neither vein stria nor surface tackiness, by feeding a resin in a matrix fixed by winding a specified tape. CONSTITUTION:Two matrices having respectively a required curved surface are faced against each other and positioned. Peripheries of these matrices are wound and fixed with a polyethylene terephthalate tape or a polyvinyl alcohol tape. Then, a raw material monomer contg. a radical polymn. initiator is poured in a gap between two matrices and therein polymerized by heating. Thereafter, the tape is removed from the matrices. The molded plastic lens exhibits neither surface tackiness on its periphery nor boundary (vein stria) between a part receiving curing hindrance and a part receiving no hindrance (stria). |
