Crowth Promotane3 for Animals L-Pyroglutamyl-pyridylalanyl-L-prolinamides of the formula: ---(I) wherein R1 is H, C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C7 cycloalkyl, C2-C8 alkoxyalkyl or aryl; and X is H, halo, C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkoxy; and their physiologically acceptable salts and feed compositions thereof are useful for improving the efficiency of feed utilisation and/or growth of animals especially poultry.
