摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve the optimum speed change stage by forming control rule for every speed change stage by plural sub-rules (running characteristic conditions), and performing logical operation of materialization/unmaterialization of sub-rules to judge the materialization of the rule. CONSTITUTION:In a microcomputer 4, a control rule to be materialized is previously set for every speed change stage after speed change of an automatic transmission 1, and the control rule is formed by plural sub-rules (running characteristic conditions) at least including a sub-rule that the engine rotating speed can be kept near a target value in the concerned speed change stage or not. Various running condition detecting signals are input, the materialization state of the respective sub-rules is detected, the materialization state is computed according to a predetermined logical expression, and according to the operation result, the materialization/unmaterialization of control rule is judged to output a speed change stage control signal and a lock-up control signal. Thus, the optimum speed change stage at the present point of time can be achieved by a simple flow.
