PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of directly pressing the awning cloth to open and close an awning and to easily lock the awning when the awning is closed by providing a handle stretched out to the interior of a car in the vicinity of a fixed portion to a car body, which is disposed at a refracted portion of a substantially L-shaped awning frame capable of freely turning on a straight line connecting both end portions thereof. CONSTITUTION:An awning frame 1 supporting the side portion of an awning which can be freely installed in the rear of a driver's seat is a substantially L-shaped form comprising a horizontal portion 1a, a refracted portion 1b and a vertical portion 1c. A pivotal portion to a car body is provided at both end portions 8, 9 to freely turn the awning frame on a straight line 10 connecting both end portions 8, 9. A bias member 3 is disposed on the refracted portion 1b to form a fixed portion which can be freely engaged with recessed fixing means provided on the car body side. A handle 11 is disposed in such a manner as to stretch out to the car interior side in the vicinity of the bias member 3 as the fixed portion. Thus, the awning can be simply opened and closed by operating the handle without directly pressing or drawing the awning.
