Improved filter comprises a layer of finely divided anion and/or cation exchange resins(mean dia. about 0.05-1.0 μm) bonded electrostatically to the surface of a filter material, e.g. cellulose, asbestos, polyacrylonitrile, charcoal, diatomaceous earth and perlite fibers. Production of the filter comprises mixing an aq. suspension of the filter fibers with exchange resin powder, and removal of excess resin. |
