CONNECTOR PLUG FOR OPTICAL FIBER TAPE LINE ACCESS

PURPOSE:To enable easy access to a line by an optical fiber tape line by extending one end part of a light guide to outside a connector plug main body. CONSTITUTION:The axes of a couple of connector plugs 4 are aligned with each other by a guide sleeve 20 and the optical fiber 10 is centered by a centering ferrule 40. The plugs 4 includes the light guide 5 from a little inside the tip and the external surface of the light guide 5 is fixed to the ferrule 40. The light guide 5 is fixed in contact with the clad part of the optical fiber 10 through an adhesive layer 51 by specific length in the same direction as the signal light guide direction of the optical fiber 10. Then one end part of the light guide 5 on the opposite side from the adhesion side, i.e. where signal light is outputted or inputted is led out to the external surface of an adapter 41 through a bent part to face the outside. Consequently, the line is easily accessed by the optical fiber tape line.
