PURPOSE:To perform accurate diagnosis by making it possible to obtain a radio logical image and a usual image, by retracting a filter member from the front surface of a semiconductor imaging element when radiation is detected and inserting the same in the front surface of said semiconductor imaging element in the case of usual observation to shield radiation. CONSTITUTION:When cancer 22 is examined, a filter 13 is retracted upwardly by an energizing member so as not to block a CCD 11 and, when the leading end part 6 of an endoscope 1 is present at the position opposed to the cancer 22, the gamma-rays emitted from the cancer 22 are incident from the opening of an imaging part frame 7 composed of a gamma-ray impervious material such as lead. The incident gamma-rays reach the CCD 11 to be processed by an image signal processing circuit 46 and displayed as a bright point on the picture of a CRT monitor 23. When further fine morphological diagnosis is performed, a radiation impervious filter is inserted between an objective lens system 8 and the CCD on the optical axis therebetween by the traction of an operating wire 15 to obtain a usual image.
