The modulation circuit uses the adaptive frame-level oppression method to generate the variable run-length codes being modulated to transmit high quality video signals to the ordinary telephone lines. The frame differentiater(3) subtracts the input digital frame signals from the transmitting digital frame signals to oppress the output signals using a parameter stored in a buffer memory(11). The run- length codes generated by an encorder(6) are transfered to the buffer memory(11) being ready to transmit. |
