<p>The cooking apparatus for food comprises a compartment (2) which is intended to contain the foods to be cooked in a liquid and is provided with a cover (31), at least one opening (23) to let air into a space, at least one outlet opening (24) for the air introduced into the space and means (25) for establishing a flow of air between the abovementioned inlet and outlet openings.
<??>The apparatus according to the invention is characterised in that at least a part of the abovementioned space (22) is delimited by two walls (32, 33) of the cover (31), which are at a distance from one another, so that the air circulating in this space (22) under the effect of the abovementioned means (25), loads itself with calories, lowering the temperature of the cover (31).
