<p>The present invention relates to a diorganopolysiloxane carrying, per molecule, at least one unit of formula:

- a is 1 or 2,
- the symbol Z is chosen from the radicals -CH2CH(COOR')CH2COOR' and
- =C(CH3)(COOR')CH2COOR',
- the symbols R which are identical or different, are chosen from C1-C20alkyl, vinyl, phenyl and 3,3,3-trifluoropropyl radicals and, in the case where a = 2 of the radicals R may be a hydroxyl,
- the symbols R' which are identical or different, are chosen from monovalent C1-C12 hydrocarbon radicals and monovalent C2-C12 alkoxyalkyl radicals.
