<p>A method and apparatus (10) for delivering cards (62) or like paper stock fed singly from a stack (60) of the cards (62) to a demand location (18A) for dispensing in sequence, in which each card (62) is fed from the stack (60), is advanced through a plurality of stages (18A,18B,18C) of a conveyor (14), each stage (18A,18B,18C) being independently operable, each stage and all preceding stages and the stack feeder (12) being actuable when no card (62) is present at that stage, the leading stage being also operable to deliver a card (62) on demand, the cards (62) being fed at a higher rate than the dispensing rate.</p> |
