In a machine for delivering drive force, having a carrier which can be driven in a circulating motion, transmits its motion onto a drive shaft and is intended for drive elements which are acted upon by a flow, are movably connected to their carrier and can be brought from a position or location, in which they bear against or can be brought to bear against the periphery of the carrier and offer no resistance or only a small resistance to the flow, into a supported working or operating position, in which they offer an increased resistance to the flow, it is provided according to the invention that in each case the drive elements situated diametrically opposite or approximately diametrically opposite each other are coupled to each other in such a manner that one element can be guided into the working position by the other element or a central control device.
