In the case of implements which are connected to the vehicle via the lifting gear, a negative supporting load can occur which disadvantageously and unintentionally alters, for example, the working depth of the mounted implement. To prevent this, mechanical stopping devices capable of being engaged by the driver are known, these stopping devices limiting a movement in the lifting direction from a certain lifting-gear position. In order, besides the stopping action, also to cut off the inflowing stream of oil, a stopping bar (19) is equipped with a limit switch (20). For lifting gear with double-acting lifting cylinders (41, 71), it is possible, in contrast, to insert into a connecting line an electrically switchable stop valve (48, 78) which blocks the lifting gear in every position, manually via a hand switch (89) in connection with a switching relay (80) or automatically via two switching relays (50a, 50b). The apparatus enables unhindered use of mounted implements - coupled to tractors - which have an upwardly directed force component. Figure 2 shows lifting gear in the form of a power lever on the tractor, which lifting gear is equipped with a double-acting lifting cylinder, in which a supply line is fitted with an electrically switchable stop valve. <IMAGE>
