The invention relates to a spinning apparatus, having at least one transport track 3, arranged between two successive processing stations, especially ring-spinning machine 1 and flier 2, for the return transport of run-off roving bobbins 5, arranged on suspended holders 4, from the second processing station to the first, and having a take-up device 16 for the removal of roving residues, remaining on roving bobbins 5, in the region of the transport track 10. According to the invention, there is guided parallel to and synchronously with the transport track 3, over some of its length, a secondary track 10 with roving-tube spindles 13 mounted in links 11, 11' of an endless chain 12, which secondary track 10 has at its start I and at its end II devices 14, 15 for respectively uncoupling and coupling the roving bobbins 5 from and to the suspended holders 4 of the transport track 3, the take-up device 16 for the removal of remaining roving residues 17 being arranged in the region of the roving bobbins 5 mounted on the roving-tube spindles 13 of the secondary track 10. <IMAGE>
