The object of the invention is to propose an actuator for acting on a device actuated by pressure medium, in particular a hydraulically actuated clutch. The actuator is to be of simple construction and inexpensive to manufacture. The invention consists in splitting the transducer approximately centrally in a plane lying transversely to its longitudinal direction, in which case the sealing problems at a pressure below 10 bar can be readily coped with. The actuator according to the invention is especially suitable for manufacturing by a plastic moulding process. Furthermore, the invention permits a simple construction for sealing the working cylinder as well as a pressure balance in the inoperative position of the piston. <IMAGE>
