The invention relates to a loading bridge for ramps having an extension which is arranged at the front end of the bridge plate of the loading bridge in a retractable and extendable manner. In order to be able to operate this bridge even in the case of platforms of substantially lower width, e.g. half-opened doors of refrigerated vehicles, on the basis of the invention one half of the extension is not fixed but can be folded vertically downwards into a resting position.
