<p>A thin vehicle seat assembly having a tubular seat frame (12) and a tubular back rest frame (14), seat cushion (16) and back rest cushion (18) in the form of woven mats, and means (66,70) for attaching the mats to the seat and back rest frames (12,14). The woven mats comprise Hytrel (R.T.M.) elastomeric filaments (60,62) extending perpendicular to each other and with the mats being pre-stretched, preferably in both directions, by an elongation of at least 5-10% prior to attachment of said mats to the respective frames (12,14).</p> |
