A flow-heater arranged between a delivery device and a spray device has at least one passage in which the materials, in particular dyes, are heated by means of a heating device. This flow-heater must be of simple construction, easy to clean, and cheap to manufacture. The passage (1) is provided in a first module (2), which can be secured to a second, main module (3) provided with the heating device (4). The first module, which is provided with the passage and can be of simple, robust design, can be changed easily and rapidly. The flow-heater can therefore be used to heat materials, in particular dyes.
