A composition for the anti-friction treatment of cine film materials comprises from 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a silicone block copolymer and the balance water; the silicone block copolymer having the formula: <IMAGE> in which a is 0 - 2; b is 0 - 150; c is 0 - 1; d is 0 - 1; a, b and c are not simultaneously 0; R is C1-C4 alkyl or phenyl; X is a group - (OC2H4)m (OC3H6)n Z (in which Z is hydroxy, C1-C4 alkoxy or acetoxy group, m is 6-40; and n is 0 - 40); and Y is absent or is a group <IMAGE> (in which Z1 and Z2 are each hydroxy, C1-C4 alkoxy or acetoxy group; the sum of k1 and k2 is 1 - 50 and h1 orh2 may be 0; m1 is 6 - 60; m2 is 6-40; n1 is 0 - 50; and n2 is 0 - 40). A polyester may also be present.
