<p>The stone block cutting machine has a frame (10) with two uprights (12, 12') mounted on a base, each carrying a carriage (23, 23') each housing a chain wheel (22, 22') for an endless chain. This chain has cutting teeth (25) with diamond tips. One carriage (22) has a motor (24) to drive the chain, and both carriages can be raised and lowered onto the stone block (30). This is supported by a wheeled carriage (15) which travels on rails along the base. A separate drive raises and lowers the chain carriages. More than one frame can be used to carry further chains for cutting the block at several places at the same time.</p> |
