NEW MATERIAL:An antibody recognizing cythermolytic site of streptolysin O. USE:Useful in purification of streptolysin O (SLO) which is a cythermolytic toxin produced by cythermolytic streptococcus bacterium or clinical diagnosis for cythermolytic streptococcus bacterium and capable of linking with SLO in state storing biological activity of SLO. PREPARATION:An immunogen is administered to a mammal animal using streptolysin O (SLO) as the immunogen and then a spleen cell of the immunized animal is taken out to give the cell B. The cell B is fused with a myeloma of the mammal animal in the presence of a fusion accelerator to afford a hybridoma. An antibody producing hybridoma obtained by screening the hybridoma is successively subjected to cloning by a limiting dilution analysis and then the cloned antibody-producing cell strain is propagated and cultured and collected from culture supernatant.
