Warp yarns are treated e.g., dyed by temporarily forming them into a fabric using filler weft yarns which are removed after dyeing, whereby the weft yarns have a different dye affinity from the warp yarns. Pref. the warp yarns are of polyamides or polyesters and the weft yarns of polyolefins. Warp yarns are pref. interwoven with the weft yarns for dyeing so that following dyeing they can be continuously sepd. from the weft yarns which are melted down and extruded into new weft yarns. Weft yarns can be re-used in the "weave-de-weave" process without the danger of "bleeding" in the subsequent process.
|
