PURPOSE:To optionally vary only dimension in a vertical direction on a copy by comparing the speed of a scanner, the rotating speed of a photosensitive body and the rotating speed of a conveying roller which are detected with a previously set reference value and adjusting the speeds of the respective driving sources so that speed difference can be eliminated. CONSTITUTION:Target values for a scanner motor 12, a photosensitive body driving motor 20 and a conveying roller driving motor 21 are obtained by comparing the real values of the speed of the scanner 7 and the rotating speeds of the photosensitive body and the conveying roller 13 and 19 operated by a CPU 100 based on detection signals by respective sensors 33, 47 and 56 with the reference value and multiplying the initial target values for controlling the motors by the reciprocals of the above ratios. The target values for the respective motors 12, 20 and 21 are adjusted so that the speed of the scanner 7 and the rotating speeds of the photosensitive body and the conveying roller 13 and 19 coincide with the reference speed respectively. By replacing the rotating speeds of the photosensitive body and the conveying roller 13 and 19 with the speed of the scanner 7, the longitudinal length of an image on the copy can be made an optional length different from that of an original. |
