NEW MATERIAL:A mouse glia cell strain-derived neuron dendrite-stretching promoter. USE:Useful for remedy for cerebral lesion by wound, vascular injury, inflammation, etc. and brain modified disease, etc. and protection of neuron. PREPARATION:A cell is collected from a tumor induced by transplacentally administering a chemical cancerogenic agent such as N-ethylnitrosourea to a mouse or subtransplanted tumor thereof, cultured in a culture medium and cloned by colony formation method, etc., to isolate a glis cell strain. Then the cell strain is cultured in a liquid medium at 37 deg.C for 3-4 day and then the cultured liquid is centrifuged and supernatant thereof is filtered by a filter having 450 n m pore size and the filtrate is fractionated through a membrane having 10,000 fraction moleculatr weight to provide the neuron dendrite- stretching promoter from a fraction having >=10,000 molecular weight.
