NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I{R1 and R2 are H, lower alkyl or perfluoroalkyl; X1-X4 are H, CN, group of formula II or formula III [Y is =H2, group of formula IV or formula V (D is bivalent organic group having ethylenic unsaturated double bond)], provided that at least one of X1-X4 is group other than H} USE:A cured material having excellent heat-resistance, flexibility, mechanical strength and electrical characteristics can be produced by heating the subject compound. It can be used in combination with a vinyl ester resin, a polyamine, especially diamine, N,N'-substituted bismaleimide compound, a polyfunctional cyanic acid ester compound, etc. PREPARATION:For example, a compound of formula VI is made to react with a cyanogen halide compound or epichlorohydrin to obtain the corresponding tetracyanate compound or tetraglycidyl ether compound. |
