NEW MATERIAL:Novel preformed chemical mediator nagstatin shown by the formula. USE:An adjuvant and carcinostatic agent. A substance enhancing cellular immunity ability of normal animal, activating cellular immunity reduced by cancer and having anti-N-acetylgalactosaminidase activity. PREPARATION:Strain MG-846-fF3 (FERM P-8095) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing nagstatin, is cultivated and preformed chemical mediator nagstatin is collected from the culture mixture.
