PURPOSE:To smooth the tilting of a rear view mirror by manual operation by specifying a magnitude relationship between contact force of plural numbers of clutches installed interposingly among a clutch gear, a base and a bracket, and friction drag of the clutch installed interposingly between the base and the bracket and so on. CONSTITUTION:Each of first and second clutches 6, 17 is installed interposingly among a clutch gear 15 where turning effort of a motor 9 is decelerated and transmitted, a base 1 and a bracket 25. A third clutch 30 is installed interposingly between the base 1 and the bracket 25 as well. At this time, when contact force between these first and second clutches 6 and 17 is set to T1 and T2, friction drag of the third clutch 30 to Nd3, friction drag between a shaft 3 and the bracket 25 to N1 and friction drag between the clutch gear 15 and the bracket 25 to N2, respectively, an equation is set to T2+N1+N2+ N3<T1+T2+N2, while it is set to T1=T2. With this constitution, when a mirror housing 2 is tilted by manual operation, any unnatural motion due to backlash is eliminated. |
