<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a nonlinear resistance element having an excellent characteristic by a method wherein, after two pastes whose main components are individually Cu and Zn have been applied continuously to a sintered substance composed mainly of SrTiO3 and have been fired, ohmic electrodes are formed and, in addition, an electrode composed mainly of silver is piled up on it. CONSTITUTION:An ohmic electrode 2 can be formed simply when a paste composed mainly of Cu is used as an electrode coming into ohmic contact with a sintered substance 1 composed mainly of SrTiO3 by properly selecting a particle diameter of Cu and the like. In order to suppress oxidation of Cu and to enhance strength of the electrode, an electrode 3 composed mainly of Zn is formed on it; in addition, in order to enhance corrosion resistance and reliability of the electrode and in order to be easily connected to an external electrode, an electrode layer 4 of silver is formed on it. By this setup, a cost is made low, productivity is enhanced, a bonding force between the sintered substance and the electrode becomes large, a defect that the electrode is hardly stripped off, a connection to the external electrode becomes easy, corrosion resistance is enhanced and a change with the passage of time can be made small.</p> |
