The asynchronous gear motor has speed redn. in the ratio of 1/60, with the speed on the output shaft being 47 rev/min. It is fitted with a cooling fan, and its characteristics are 28 watts/ 220 volts.. It is starting torque is 2300 gcm, and its dimensions are:- height 89 mm., width 60 mm., depth outside shaft 91 mm. Its wt. is approximately 1 kg. The potato peeling part comprises an outer container made of 1 mm thick stainless plate, and an inner container which is likewisee constructed. Both containers have covers, on each of which is a knob. - The inner container is rotated by the electric motor, and is provided with sharp pins.
