PURPOSE:To keep good sealing characteristics so as to prevent the gas leakage of a fuel cell effectively by constructing the end portion, in the piling direction of stack, of an attaching flange connected to an manifold body through a flexible connection member with a leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:A manifold 3 is composed of the body 30 and an attaching flange 40 and a heat resistant and flexible connecting member 50 between the said body and the flange 40. The attaching flange end portion 42 of the flange 40, in the piling direction of a stack, is constructed with a leaf spring, and welded to the upper and the lower attaching flange portions 41 made of ordinary steel to be formed like frame. The flange 40 is connected to the body 30 with the member 50. The both aperture edges of the member 50 are fixed airtightly to the body 30 and the flange 40 respectively with patches 9, 10 using bolts 7 and nuts 8. A gasket 5 is inserted in the groove provided on the flange 40, and the flange portion 41 is attached to the upper and the lower end plates 2 of the stack against the elastic force of the leaf spring, and fixed indirectly with a L-shaped holding fixture 11 and bolts 6. |
