PURPOSE:To enhance the temperature characteristics, corrosion resistance and magnetic characteristics, especially coercive force and square by a method wherein an alloy powder in the specific composition containing rare earth oxide is pressuremolded and then further pressure sintered and aged. CONSTITUTION:An alloy powder in the following composition is prepared i.e. the alloy powder contains rare earth element (Rem) containing Y of 8-30at.%. B of 2-20at.% with the residual parts substantially comprising Fe, Co, Ni subject to respective contents of transition metallic element of Fe:10-75at.%, Co:7-50at.%, Ni:8-30at.% as well as (Fe+Co+Ni):50-90at.%. The rare earth elements are pressure molded and then pressure sintered in the sintered body density exceeding 97% of the theoretical density at 700-1100 deg.C in vacuum or inert gas atmosphere successively to be aged. Furthermore, said alloy powder may contain not exceeding 8% of at least one kind of element selected out of Mg, Al, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ca, Ge, Zr, Nb, Mo, In, Sn, Ta, W. |
