PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a device and to reduce the device in size by detecting the intensity of a magnetic field penetrating toner numbers of times by a toner sensor without reference to the rotation of a magnet, counting its output according to a data table, and regarding the largest output as the remaining amount of toner. CONSTITUTION:The toner sensor 15 detects the intensity of the magnetic field penetrating the toner 6 a constant number of times without reference to the rotation of the magnet 11 and the output of the toner sensor 15 is counted while it is judged which classification of the data table classified into plural outputs belongs to. The remaining amount of toner is detected according to the counted value. Consequently, the need for an encoder, a photosensor, etc., for preventing noises from being generated by the magnet is eliminated and the remaining amount of toner is accurately detected; and the structure is simplified, the device is reduced in size, and the manufacture cost is reducible. |
