<p>PURPOSE:To correct the end face of a grinding wheel accurately by controlling a rotary roll driving device so that the circumferential linear speed ratio during correction of the corrective rotary roll to the grinding wheel is varied and set to any desired value at the corrective grinding acting point for the corrective rotary roll to the grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION:The angle of rotation of a root shaft 6 rotated by a feed motor 20 is sensed by an encoder 22, and this detection signal is fed into a calculating device 23. On the basis of signal from encoder 22, this calculating device 23 identifies the position of the acting point, where a corrective roll 5 acts correctively on a grinding wheel 2, from the axis of another grinding wheel 3, so that signal is given to an inverter control device 24 for changing the revolving speed of the corrective roll 5 so that the circumferential linear speed ratio of the grinding wheel 2 to the corrective roll 5 at this point becomes constant, and this inverter control device 24 changes the speed of an AC motor 8 with variable frequency. This corrective roll 5 is rotated in swings, and the end face of the grinding wheel 2 is ground correctively by the corrective roll 5.</p> |
