PURPOSE:To constitute the title camera so that a photographer can photograph in a specific operation mode after having replaced a lens without paying attention at all to the previous operation mode by switching an operating condition of a camera to the specific operation mode, when it is detected that a photographic lens has been installed. CONSTITUTION:Whether a photographic lens which is installed so as to be freely attachable and detachable in a camera body is installed in a locked state or not is detected by a switch SLIK being a detecting means. The camera is provided with a microprocessor 1 and a switch, a etc., related thereto as an operation control means for bringing freely an operating condition to switching operation to plural operation modes. When the camera body is in a state of some operation mode, when the switch SLIK detects a fact that the photographic lens is installed, the operation mode is switched forcibly to a specific operation mode. When this specific operation mode is, for instance, an automatic setting mode, even in case when a photographer does not know a fact that the previous photographing is executed in a manual setting mode after having replaced a lens, photographing in the automatic setting mode can be executed. |
