PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image pickup condition in a short time, independently of the luminance change in an object, by dividing the product between a reference level of a video signal and an exposing time before one field and setting the optimum exposing time instantly. CONSTITUTION:A division circuit 30 divides the product between the reference level of the video signal supplied from an exposing time memory 20 and the time before one field with an output signal of a weighting circuit 18 to obtain the exposing time. The time thus obtained is stored in the memory 20 and supplied to a time control signal generating circuit 22, and a CCD driving section 13 and a CCD pickup element 12 are controlled with a control signal outputted from the circuit 22. Thus, independently of the luminance change in an object, the time required for the control becomes one field's share and the excellent image pickup condition is set in a short time. |
