<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a nonlinear resistance element having an excellent characteristic by a method wherein, after a paste composed mainly of Cu has been fired, an ohmic electrode is formed on a sintered substance composed mainly of SrTiO3 and a paste composed mainly of silver is fired in order to form a double electrode. CONSTITUTION:A paste whose main component is Cu and which contains a borosilicate lead-based glass frit and a resin is coated, by using a screen printing method, on a region used to form an electrode of a sintered substance 1 composed mainly of SrTiO3, after that, this assembly is dried and fired in the air and an ohmic electrode 2 composed mainly of Cu is formed on the sintered substance 1. Then, a paste composed mainly of silver is coated, by using the screen printing method, on the ohmic electrode 2, after that, this assembly is fired in a nonoxidizing atmosphere, and a silver electrode 3 is formed. By this setup, the electrode 2 comes into ohmic contact with the sintered substance 1, an interface between the sintered substance 1 and the electrode 2 has no rectification action, accordingly, voltage nonlinearity of the sintered substance itself can be displayed, a connection to an external electrode can be made easily and excellent corrosion resistance can be obtained.</p> |
