PURPOSE:To execute the correction with sufficient accuracy for practical use by deriving the correction quantity of a lens moving portion at the time of automatic focusing with regard to one distance measuring area which has been determined in advance. CONSTITUTION:In a defocus quantity calculating means 3, defocus quantities DFIS1-DFIS3 to areas IS1-IS3 are derived from outputs of plural photoelectric converting means 2a-2c, and one of them is selected. In this state, at the time of deriving the correction quantity to a time difference between the charge accumulating time and the lens driving time, in order to simplify it, in a correcting means 6, the DF quantity which cannot decide whether it corresponds to the area IS2 selected by a selecting means 4 or not is corrected, based on an output value of a lens moving signal generating means 5 in the course of accumulating the charge in one area IS2 which has been determined in advance, and by driving a lens 1 by this correction quantity, the correction is executed with sufficient accuracy. |
