<p>PURPOSE:To protect the primary battery for backup of a memory card by providing a diode between a battery voltage detecting terminal and the primary battery. CONSTITUTION:When the memory card is not inserted into terminal equipment, the voltage of the primary battery for backup is applied across a power supply terminal 12 through the diode 10 to back up the memory of a memory IC 1. When the memory card is inserted into terminal equipment, etc., and the connector 2 of the equipment is connected with the card thereafter, power supply VCC is made to the terminal 12 through a diode 11. On the other hand, the diode 14 is provided between the battery 8 and the battery voltage detecting terminal 15 and the state of the battery 8 can be read from the terminal equipment side. When a voltage of a certain level is applied to the terminal for some reason, moreover, the voltage is blocked by the diode 14 and no adverse influence is given to the battery 8.</p> |
