PURPOSE:To attain the high speed access at a large capacity and high transfer rate by forming a circular arc recording area on a disk medium while a disk medium and a writing device equipped with two writing means or above provided on a disk medium main surface are both rotated. CONSTITUTION:While a disk medium 1 and a writing device 4 equipped with two writing means 3a and 3b or above provided on a disk medium 1 main surface are both rotated, the circular arc recording area is formed on the disk medium 1. Thus, by the rotation of both disk medium 1 and writing device 4, the writing means 3a and 3b travel on all tracks fundamentally, and a signal is recorded or reproduced. The rotation number difference between the disk medium 1 and the writing device 4, the size and the like are set so that the writing means 3a and 3b can successively travel on the adjoining track. Thus, while the disk 2 goes around, the writing means 3a and 3b travel on all tracks and the access time can be drastically shortened. |
