PURPOSE:To form an image having clear color tone and low color mixture or blur with high recording sensitivity, by employing at least one type of specific phenol material as the coloring agent in a low temperature coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:At lest one type of phenol material shown by the formula is employed as the coloring agent in a low temperature coloring layer. Above all, 4,4'-[1,4-phenylene bis(1-methyl ethylydene)] bis-phenol and 4-hydroxy-4'- isopropoxy diphenyl sulfone cause no texture fog, and produce a two color heat-sensitive recording material having quite high whiteness. Color tone of the coloring layer is regulated properly through selection of basic dye, and when red and black are exhibited black coloring system having high recording frequency is employed as the low temperature coloring layer while red coloring system is employed as the high temperature coloring layer. The ratio between the basic dye and the coloring agent in the coloring layer is preferably set to 1-8pts.wt. for the low temperature coloring layer while to 2-10pts.wt. for the high temperature coloring layer. |
