PURPOSE:To perform an economical operation with any resistance and imporve the fuel consumption rate by temporarily suspending the function to judge if operation is economical or not at an accelerated engine operation and having a display maintained to work in economically operated condition. CONSTITUTION:Judgment is made if an engine is in accelerated operation or not from changing condition of engine speed furnished by an engine rotation sensor, and the load is detected only when the engine is not in accelerated operation. Judgment is also made on this load if it is in accelerated condition or not, and only in case it is not in accelerated operation, decision is made if it is economically operated or not on the basis of the engine speed and load. As a result of this decision, when the engine is operated in a range other than the economical operation zone, an amber monitor lamp is lit to warn a driver, while a green monitor lamp is lit when either engine speed or the load is in accelerated condition and also when an operation range is in economical operation zone. |
