PURPOSE:To remove ammonia and to prevent the generation of public nuisance by a method wherein water after filtering is allowed to flow in an ozone contact tank having a waste ozone treatment tower provided thereabove and an ozone diffusing part is provided in the ozone contact tank while a catalytic treatment tank is provided in close vicinity to said tank. CONSTITUTION:The water filtered by a pre-filter 3 is allowed to flow in an ozone contact tank 5 having a waste ozone treatment tower 4 provided thereabove and the ozone diffusing part 7 connected to an ozone generator 6 is provided in the ozone contact tank 5 and a catalytic treatment tank 8 is provided in close vicinity to said tank 5. The water after the ozone treatment in the ozone contact tank 5 is allowed to flow in the catalytic treatment tank 8 to be refluxed to a water tank A. When a power supply is closed immediately after water is injected in the water tank A, the pump 22 operated in connection with a motor 21 is driven and water is sucked from a water sucking strainer 23 to be sprinkled on the pre-filter 3 from the water sprinkling orifices 26 bored in a water diffusion pipe 25, and impure water and ammonia are removed. |
